Another year and another successful Recruitment Day was held on September 30, 2016, at Notre Dame University-Louaize North Lebanon Campus (NDU-NLC). Existing NDU clubs made a concerted effort to motivate students to participate and join the numerous clubs.
In his welcome address, NLC Director Fr. Samir Ghssoub stressed the importance of collaboration among all clubs in an effort to provide the University and its students with a wealth of advantages as well as to create a harmonious environment on campus.
Fr. Ghssoub added that the University would continue to pursue its main mission of providing high quality education and a suitable environment conducive to learning. The priority of NDU is to strengthen students’ personal development, which serves to ensure a sound career path after graduation. He said that this year sees the birth of a new club called the ‘Lebanese Army,’ which was created to help students better understand their national army and to establish friendly relations with its troops.
The NLC Public Relations Office and Faculty of Business Administration and Economics (FBAE) Assistant Elsie Kfoury Girgis in her welcome address greeted all the new students, assured them that 2016 would be an exciting year on numerous fronts, and wished them success. Kfoury also thanked the participating clubs and students.
Each year witnesses the establishment of many clubs, bringing with them new ideas and activities, and Recruitment Day 2016 was no exception. The campus was brimming with life amid a backdrop of good food and music, giveaways, and a host of exciting and original activities.
Lebanese NGO Donner Sang Compter took part in the event, encouraging students to donate blood to save lives. Dunkin Donuts, the international chain of coffee and doughnut shops, distributed delicious donuts while Obegi also distributed some of their most popular food products. Promo-Net Media, an advertising company, promoted iced-tea, mineral water while Slid-SAL distributed many lovely gifts.
